Day 3
After breakfast, drive to Munnar, a picturesque hill station named after the confluence of three rivers. Surrounded by rolling hills, it is known for its lush tea estates, cardamom and spice plantations, aromatic oil factories, and the occasional sighting of rare wildlife. The region is also famous for the striking purple-blue Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every 12 years.
On arrival, check in to your hotel. Later, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history and evolution of tea plantations in the region.

Day 4
After breakfast, depart at 9:30 AM for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Start with a visit to Devikulam, a charming hill station renowned for its lush tea plantations and tranquil surroundings. Enjoy a guided tour of a tea factory and tea gardens, where you can observe the tea-making process and take a leisurely walk through the fragrant plantations. Continue to Lockhart Gap, a scenic viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the valleys and misty hills. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history and development of tea production in Munnar. Later, explore Srishti Welfare Centre, a commendable initiative that empowers differently-abled individuals through vocational activities such as paper bag making, natural fabric dyeing, and baking homemade products. Day 5
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Thekkady. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, located amidst lush plantations and dense forests, is one of the world’s most captivating natural wildlife reserves. Spanning 777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km consists of thick evergreen forest, it was declared a tiger reserve in 1978.
The picturesque artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam enhances the beauty of the sanctuary. It is also the only reserve in India where visitors can enjoy the unique experience of spotting wildlife up close from the safety of a boat on the lake.

Day 6
Post breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Periyar National Park, set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats. This renowned wildlife sanctuary features the scenic Periyar Lake at its heart, where herds of wild elephants are often seen bathing and playing in the water.
Enjoy a boat ride on the lake for an opportunity to observe wildlife up close. The sanctuary is also home to a variety of species including leopards, wild dogs, barking deer, mouse deer, Nilgiri langurs, bonnet macaques, sambar, porcupines, squirrels, gaur (Indian bison), wild boar, and sloth bears.

After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of peninsular India and the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean. En route, visit the historic Padmanabhapuram Palace, once the seat of the Travancore kings. Built in traditional Kerala architectural style using wood and stone, the palace was reconstructed around 1750 by Marthanda Varma. It served as the capital of the Travancore kingdom until 1795, when Thiruvananthapuram became the new capital. Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved testament to the region’s royal heritage.
Continue to Kanyakumari for sightseeing, beginning with the revered Kumari Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Parvati in her form as Devi Kanya. Important Information
- Please note that the Dutch Palace and Jewish Synagogue remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Travellers arriving on a Thursday will therefore undertake Kochi sightseeing on the day of arrival.
- The Padmanabhapuram Palace remains closed on Wednesdays.
- As per the Enchanting Kerala 13 Nights & 14 Days itinerary, no activities are scheduled on Day 1 due to long flight durations and possible jet lag. Travellers are advised to rest and enjoy the in-house facilities at the hotel such as the swimming pool and other amenities
Terms & Conditions
- Standard hotel check-in time is 14:00 hours. Early check-in is subject to availability; however, we can certainly place a request on your behalf. For a guaranteed early check-in before 12:00 noon, the hotel must be booked from the previous night. Standard check-out time is 11:00 hours. Late check-out is subject to availability, and we can place a request accordingly. For a guaranteed late check-out, the hotel must be booked for an additional night.
- If late check-out is not available, travellers may store their luggage in the cloakroom and continue to use the resort facilities at no additional cost until 16:00 hours.
- Houseboat check-in is at 12:00 noon. Air conditioning is available only during the night, operating from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning.
